River Kwai - History and Adventure
The province of Kanchanaburi has a lot interesting places, like the original location of the movie "The Bridge on the River Kwai". A Place where thousands of Thai hard labor workers and prisoners of war died by hand of Japanese Military.
Now, this place has top of the notch hotels, and from this place you can start trips to all over Thailand. This zone also has a variety of falls and beautiful caves of limestone. The accommodations are in the middle of the jungle, allowing endless activities and adventures in the nature. For a little bit of History, you can visit the JEATH Museum, and the Cemetery of the prisoners of war deceased during the Bridge´s construction. A mix of adventure and history is available when you take the "Death Train" to the Tham Krasae station, enjoying an amazing view of jungle and marshes, and then take a walk where the remains of the original construction was.
You can also take a bamboo canoe trip over the river Kwa Noi, go to Mon Village, and enjoy a traditional dances show of the Mon Tribe at night.
