Ko Sukorn

Off the coast of Trang we can find with a very small island called Ko Sukorn, mother of four tinnyKo_sukorn villages and one car, not per capita, per village! *giggle* (true fact).

Definetly the best option for people who needs to escape from the crowded island of Thailand, or their daily stress.

The long brunette beaches (dark sand), will be almost for those who choose this destination and will singly enjoy the spectacular sun rises and sets and of course the great hospitality the natives will bring.

An A+ for the small one :)

Ko Chang

Ko_chang Most of Ko Chang's beaches are located on the western coast, and each one seems to be a bubble with an unique atmosphere based on shopping sprees, chilling out, activities and of course wild parties.

Every type of tourist will be able to find an accomodation that suits theirs needs, from low (almost none) budget backpackers to millonaires that search even more luxury to add to their lifestyle.

In Ko Chang you are going to enjoy the pleasures of scuba diving in the breathtaking coral reefs, you can take a walk throw the jungle and in case you are lazy like me ;) you can take an elephant ride!, if you are a sport men/women you are also covered with the beach sports.

Hurry you are about to miss the boat and if you are not god you can't run in the water :)

Phuket FantaSea

P11 The way this place makes money is 3 fold, first you have to walk through a long line of souvenir shops before getting to the resturant/show building. second they give you too much time to eat, enough time to shop. and finally they make the food WAY TOO SPICY! and then charge you  4 times the market value for every drink that you are gonna need believe me. I will recomend only the show. It is all dancing and very few lines of dialog. Sort of boring if you ask me but I'm not into the big stage productions. Only a few scenes with elephants. The other cool thing about this place was the buildings were big and detailed. They have a Elephant palace. That makes it look like Elephants are Gods in Thailand.

Ko Samui

Ko_samui_1 Ko Samui is a very popular destination. Having it's own international airport, a mass of ferry connections and being so close to 500 hotels and guesthouses this place is useless for those who wants to explore untouch nature, relax or feel the inner peace. Although if you are in the search of withe beaches, turquoise waters and all day sun where you can take pictures to brag infront of your friends and smile with their jealous faces this is your kind of place :). There are also accomodations for every budget so you won't have to worry about that, but please do worry like always on make the reservations and any arragements with some time in advance or you will regreat it.

River Kwai - History and Adventure

River_kwaiThe province of Kanchanaburi has a lot interesting places, like the original location of the movie "The Bridge on the River Kwai". A Place where thousands of Thai hard labor workers and prisoners of war died by hand of Japanese Military.

Now, this place has top of the notch hotels, and from this place you can start trips to all over Thailand. This zone also has a variety of falls and beautiful caves of limestone. The accommodations are in the middle of the jungle, allowing endless activities and adventures in the nature. For a little bit of History, you can visit the JEATH Museum, and the Cemetery of the prisoners of war deceased during the Bridge´s construction. A mix of adventure and history is available when you take the "Death Train" to the Tham Krasae station, enjoying an amazing view of jungle and marshes, and then take a walk where the remains of the original construction was.

You can also take a bamboo canoe trip over the river Kwa Noi, go to Mon Village, and enjoy a traditional dances show of the Mon Tribe at night.

Ko Tarutao

Ko_tarutao Mysterious, old  and primitive is the definition of Tarutao in Malay that should give you some clue about this island.
All the tourists agree that the speacial appeal of Tarutao is in the wildlife whales, gian sea turtles, monitor lizards, the always funny crab eating macaques and much more creatures that are special residents of the sourrounding waters.
You won't be able to do any snorkeling or diving because the water is murky in comparissing with others Andaman's islands but for most the waterfalls, the extremely clean beaches, the awsome hiking and of course the espectacular views are more than enough to choose Ko Tarutao as their hollyday place.
If you are a films fun, Ko Tarutao was the scenario where Thailand Survivor was made =) if you didn't see it and you want to know some more about this place rent it.. what are you waitting for? I am not going to make you Pop corn =P

Ko Libong

Ko_libong Ko Libong it's a large island located close to Thailand's southwest coast in Trang province. Not so visited, this island is cleaner than some other island around. For the natives we can say they are polite, friendly and honest, also eco-minded.  Not so many tourists make it there but those that do realize how lucky they are. A cute place, very laid back where you will finally enjoy the life :) , dugongs can fin there too =P

Ko Lanta

Ko_lanta For a long long time  this Ko Lanta  was a sometimes destination for backpackers, fullfilling the role of second fiddle to the main attraction for backpackers Ko Pha Ngan, but as always nobody could keep their mouths shut and they started to tell how great this island was.
They highlighted the fact that it has something for every budget no matter how tight or lose the budget were, from huts to luxurious houses, with a less hectic scene, calm smooth waters and those beaches, OMG those beaches.
It became really popular mostly for those who are travelling through Thailand with young children.

Ko Tao

Ko_tao Ko Tao has been over the years so many things for some many people,  a pirate's hideout, a layover for the fishermen, a not so well kept backpacker's secret, even a prision!
Today we can say that it's  Thailand's premier diving location,  with a flow of  thousands of recreational divers or not annually.
The Non-divers tourists who want to escape from the crowded diver hotspots are comforted with explendid beaches, espectacular viewpoints and the hospitable locals will made them feel like kings.
